Jaydon and Daddy at the Azalea Festival

The Roaming Baby

Every year at the end of March the Summerville YMCA puts on the largest arts and crafts festival in the Southeast – The Flowertown Festival.

The festival celebrates the arrival of the Azalea flowers that bloom in the spring, as well as the purple wisteria and the white dogwood.

Mommy and daddy have visited the Flowertown Festival for the last five years but this was Jaydon’s first time.

Jaydon was really excited. He got to see a wide variety of art and music. But I think he was most interested in all the people. It was the 40th anniversary and the festival was packed.

It is good to see that you guys are sharing in something that you enjoy with Jaydon. There is a huge art festival here that the wife and I would always go to and we loved sharing that with the Kid for the first time last year.

We try to expose Jaydon to as many new experiences as possible. We are lucky that Charleston has so huge variety of events through out the year. Sometimes we do not know which one to go to next.
